Dozens of homes in East Ayrshire are set to be warmer and more energy efficient thanks to a large scale housing improvement programme carried out by the local authority. Cllr Douglas Reid, Leader of the Council Seventy-three homes in Gatehead and 100 homes in Stewarton are warmer and more energy efficient after the Council carried out a large scale housing improvement programme.

East Ayrshire Council representatives were given a warm welcome when they visited new council homes at Jamieson Court in Galston. Sonnette Johnstone was delighted to show off her new home which is one of ten new builds within the development.

The keys have been handed over for a £4.4 million affordable housing development in Kilmarnock. Delivered by Mactaggart & Mickel Contracts, a division of Mactaggart & Mickel Group, the 1.8 acre site at West Langlands has 39 housing units will be used by East Ayrshire Council to provide much

39 new houses at the West Langlands Street development in Kilmarnock are expected to be completed by the end of the month, with the keys being handed to new tenants just after Easter. The site comprises a mix of accessible accommodation and larger family homes. It will provide one and two bedroom fl
