Representatives from DGHP, Dumfries and Galloway Council, Dumfries and Galloway Police, contractors Ashleigh and the architect and design team Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership (DGHP) chairman, Robert Higgins, visited the latest housing development at Palmerston View this week.

Construction work is getting underway on a new £7.66 million sheltered housing complex in Dalry. Provost Ian Clarkson officially marked the beginning of the construction phase of the development at a special ground-breaking ceremony held last week.

Cunninghame Housing Association has completed a development of 70 houses and flats for rent in Ardrossan. The total project costs for the Montgomerie Street development, including private finance was, £7,725,987, with £4,519,000 awarded in grant from the Scottish Government.

Construction work is getting underway on a state-of-the-art sheltered housing complex in Saltcoats. A ground-breaking ceremony signalled the beginning of the £6.48 million project to create 36 new homes for older people.

A development of 22 flats and houses on the main road into Ayr’s town centre has been officially opened after being delivered by Ayrshire Housing. Opened by pupils from the neighbouring Newton Primary School, the homes on King Street are grouped around a courtyard called Cross Gait.
