Construction work is getting underway on a state-of-the-art sheltered housing complex in Saltcoats. A ground-breaking ceremony signalled the beginning of the £6.48 million project to create 36 new homes for older people.

A development of 22 flats and houses on the main road into Ayr’s town centre has been officially opened after being delivered by Ayrshire Housing. Opened by pupils from the neighbouring Newton Primary School, the homes on King Street are grouped around a courtyard called Cross Gait.

Ashleigh (Scotland) joint managing director, Douglas Small handing keys for the Kirkcudbright properties to Loreburn’s chief executive, Lorraine Usher Loreburn Housing Association and construction company Ashleigh (Scotland) Ltd have recently completed their 500th new home as a partnership.
