A new £11.6 million affordable housing development in the Stewartry area is nearing completion.

Construction work is underway on the latest new council homes to be built in Ardrossan and Irvine.

Plans have been unveiled for new seafront flats to be delivered on the site of a former children’s cancer home in Prestwick. Ashleigh (Scotland) Ltd wants to develop 40 flats within four blocks at the former Malcolm Sargent House on Links Road.

Work is progressing rapidly to create 26 new council homes on the site of the former St Mary’s Primary School in Largs. Once complete, the development will be a natural extension to the neighbouring 123-unit Flatt Road development which was completed in 2022.
