Ten council-owned sites across Glasgow are to be sold to housing associations to ensure the delivery of affordable homes continues post lockdown. A council paper on the land disposal was approved by councillors at a meeting via teleconference last week.

Tenants have been thrown a lifeline “like never before” thanks to the efforts of Thenue Housing. In common with other housing providers, it has taken unprecedented steps to ensure tenants and communities are not forgotten during the ongoing coronavirus emergency.

The staff and boards of the local housing associations (Ardenglen, Craigdale, Cassiltoun, North View and Thenue) are proud to be part of Castlemilk Together, and working alongside the community to support our most vulnerable people at this challenging time.

Thenue Housing has begun work on building more homes for Glasgow's East End just weeks after launching its most recent development. A total of 27 flats are being built at Landressy Place, Bridgeton on the site of a former care home.

Thenue Housing has announced the appointment of its new head of community housing services. Gary Naylor will take up his role in March and succeeds Brian Gannon who has become chief executive at West of Scotland Housing Association.  

Thenue Housing has delivered a £9.3 million housing boost for Glasgow's east end. On the same day that Thenue celebrated its first 40 years, the housing association unveiled the landmark development of 49 energy-efficient homes close to Glasgow Green.

A community centre set up by Thenue Housing is to be used as a polling station for Poland's general election on October 13th. The Calton Heritage and Learning Centre in Glasgow's East End was set up by the housing association and local people seven years ago.

Beth Reilly, a former member of Thenue Housing’s team, has been shortlisted for CIH Scotland’s Excellence Awards in the category of 'Outstanding Contribution to Housing'. The winners of the CIH Excellence Awards will be announced at a gala event in Glasgow in October.
